Facial volume and balance
Dermal fillers, used with restraint and purpose
Dermal fillers can restore or refine volume in carefully selected areas of the face. Dr Karen focuses on proportion, facial balance and realistic outcomes rather than chasing a standardised look.
Areas that may be discussed
- Lips
- Cheeks and mid-face
- Chin and jawline
- Previous filler, asymmetry or migration
A consultation-led approach
Treatment follows an individual assessment and a clear discussion of benefits, limitations, risks and alternatives. The best recommendation may be a small change, another approach or no procedure.
The GP-led difference
Medical judgement before treatment
Dr Karen reviews your health, medicines, previous procedures, facial anatomy and expectations. Treatment is recommended only when she considers it suitable and proportionate.
Important safety information
Swelling, bruising, tenderness, asymmetry, infection, nodules and an unsatisfactory result can occur. Rarely, filler can affect a blood vessel and threaten skin or vision, requiring urgent assessment.
Consultation
Begin with a considered conversation
A consultation is an opportunity to understand suitability, alternatives, likely outcomes, risks and costs. It does not commit you to treatment.
